TWO WAVELENGTHS, ONE TREATMENT

What is ADVATx?

ADVATx combines two complementary laser wavelengths to precisely target different concerns within the skin. This allows the treatment to address both surface-level imperfections and deeper skin concerns while remaining gentle enough for a broad range of skin types (I–V).

The Benefits

ADVATx helps improve the look of acne, scarring, redness, pigmentation, fine lines, and uneven texture, revealing skin that appears clearer, smoother, and more even. By addressing multiple concerns in a single treatment, it can help restore a healthier, more refreshed appearance while improving overall skin quality. With little disruption to your routine, visible improvements may be noticeable as early as the following day, with results continuing to develop over time.

How It Works

ADVATx is a dual-wavelength laser that delivers 589 nm yellow light and 1319 nm near-infrared energy while leaving the skin’s surface intact, addressing a wide range of skin concerns. The 589 nm wavelength targets visible redness, blood vessels, rosacea, acne, and pigmentation, while the 1319 nm wavelength works deeper within the skin to support collagen production and improve texture. Together, the two wavelengths help reduce inflammation and discoloration while improving the appearance of scarring, excess oil, and visible signs of aging.

THE EMERALD DIFFERENCE

Why Choose Emerald Aesthetics for ADVATx?

Thoughtful Skin Assessment. Customized Settings. Purposeful Results.

AdvaTx offers remarkable versatility, but achieving the right result requires more than choosing a setting and treating the skin. At Emerald Aesthetics, we evaluate your skin, concerns, and goals to create a treatment approach that makes intentional use of ADVATx’s dual-wavelength technology.

Dual-Wavelength Expertise

ADVATx gives us the ability to work with two distinct wavelengths, individually or together, depending on what your skin needs. We thoughtfully select how each wavelength is used to address concerns such as redness, pigmentation, acne, texture, and signs of aging rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Precision Without Unnecessary Downtime

Effective treatment does not have to mean aggressive treatment. Our approach is to use the energy and settings appropriate for your skin and goals, allowing us to pursue meaningful improvement while preserving one of ADVATx’s greatest advantages: little disruption to your everyday routine.

Treatment Plans Built Around Your Skin

Redness, pigmentation, acne, and uneven texture can look similar from one client to another but require different approaches. We assess the condition of your skin and prioritize your individual concerns to determine the appropriate treatment settings, areas of focus, and recommended number of sessions.

A Strategy Beyond a Single Treatment

ADVATx can be used as a focused treatment or incorporated into a broader skin plan. We consider how your skin responds over time and when appropriate, how ADVATx can complement other treatments and professional skincare to maintain clarity, texture, and overall skin health.

ADVATx treats multiple skin concerns in one session using two laser wavelengths delivered together: 589nm, which targets redness, pigment, and blood vessels, and 1319nm, which heats deeper layers to stimulate collagen. Because the two wavelengths work together, this is done without damaging the skin’s surface.

ADVATx treats facial redness and rosacea, visible blood vessels such as spider veins and broken capillaries, active acne and acne scarring, uneven pigmentation, sun damage, and concerns with skin texture and tone. The result is a clearer, brighter, more refined complexion Advalight calls the “ADVA Glow.”

ADVATx’s Soft Pulsing technology treats redness and vascular concerns without the significant bruising or purple discoloration commonly associated with traditional pulsed-dye lasers. With no anesthesia required and minimal discomfort, treatments are gentle and suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I–V.

  • Stop using retinol or tretinoin products at least 5 days before your appointment.
  • Avoid exfoliating products for the 5 days before treatment.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning for 2 weeks prior, and apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily leading up to your appointment.
  • History of cold sores? Let us know ahead of time. If you’re being treated on the face, you may need a prophylactic antiviral prescription.
  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin. No lotion, makeup, or oils on the treatment area.
  • Tell your provider about any medications, skincare products, recent treatments, or changes to your skin.
  •
  • Most ADVATx appointments take about an hour. Some clients may achieve their desired results after just one treatment, while others benefit from a series of 3–5 treatments, often spaced approximately one month apart. The number of sessions needed depends on the concern being treated, your skin, and your individual goals. Your provider will recommend a treatment plan specifically for you.

ADVATx requires little to no downtime, and most clients can return to their normal activities right away. Mild warmth or temporary redness may occur after treatment and typically subsides within a few hours. Because ADVATx is non-ablative, meaning it works without removing or damaging the surface of the skin, it does not typically cause the peeling or extended recovery associated with more aggressive resurfacing treatments.

Mild redness and slight swelling for 2–4 hours is normal. A cool compress or handheld fan can help with any sensitivity. For the first 24 hours, avoid hot tubs, saunas, hot showers, strenuous exercise, and spicy foods. Don’t apply anything to the treatment area until the next morning, and avoid AHAs, BHAs, Retin-A, or Renova for 72 hours. Use a gentle cleanser during this time before returning to your normal skincare routine, and stay out of direct sun, with SPF 50+ worn daily. Never pick or peel treated skin. Plan to skip makeup for 48–72 hours; mineral-based makeup is best once you resume. Most clients see visible improvement in redness and vascular concerns within 24 hours, though optimal results typically build over a series of treatments.

Yes. ADVATx can be incorporated into a customized treatment plan alongside other aesthetic treatments, including microneedling, injectables, and other skin rejuvenation services. Depending on your skin concerns and goals, treatments may be performed during the same visit or spaced apart to allow for proper healing. Your provider will recommend the safest and most effective combination and timing for your skin.
